I ordered a pair of classic length boots as my Christmas present. Beautiful quality and really warm. The problem is I am a half size and was advised to size up. I did this but the heels slip as I walk. Only really noticed how bad this was after I wore outside for the first time. Customer Services weren't very helpful over the issue when I phoned for advice. I was told to “look on the internet” and then that the lady I was speaking to was part of an “overspill” team as if to explain why she seemed to have no product knowledge. A real shame as if the boots fit properly they would be absolutely perfect.

I have to say that I was rather disappointed with these boots. I have a pair of the Sheepskin boots that I've had for about 8 years which I love. I decided last year to treat myself to a smart new pair. They look and feel lovely but the sheepskin inside is very short, not as thick and soft and luxurios as my older pair. When a friend visited recently and took her UGG boots off I was very envious to see how long and soft the sheepskin was inside. It looked a lot more luxurious. I have always recommended Celtic sheepskin to friends wanting ugg style boots but I would be reluctant to do so again.

Purchased as a christmas present for my daughter. She wanted Uggs but I had heard your boots were better quality so took a chance and ordered them. She loves them and has hardly taken them off! At first they were very snug and she thought they were too tight but after a day or two they were the perfect fit. Not only are they really comfortable but they look really good too - she is a size 8 but they look really neat and stylish. Might have to put on my birthday wish list!

I think I'm in the minority when I say that unfortunately I wasn't happy with these boots. They were very tight around the calf, even just wearing tights, and although they felt too small around the toe, they slipped up and down at the heel, so a size up wouldn't have fitted either. Very disappointed as I really wanted to love these boots, based on all the rave reviews about them (and wanting to “buy British” rather than resorting to the “Austrailian brand”, which I might have to do now!).

Not too good overall. My partner ordered the Celt Boots for a birthday trip for me. 10 days later I received a torn, tatty box containing a faulty pair of boots which appeared to be a return from someone else that had been accidentally sent to me. I queued up in the Post Office to return the faulty boots and complained in writing for the personal attention of Nick and Kath Whitworth, but heard nothing for 2 weeks (cold feet on the trip). When I called Celtic (and was automatically passed to the warehouse several times, there seems to be no way of calling Customer Services direct) nobody knew anything about the return or my complaint. Everyone was polite and apologetic but nobody seemed to know what anyone else was doing or have a record of anything. The next day I received what appeared, unbelievably, to be exactly the same pair of faulty boots back again (or possibly a fresh pair with the same fault? one boot 2cm taller than the other) More queueing at the Post Office to return. Finally nearly a month after the original order I received a pair of boots that were up to normal standard, Celtic sent them out next day delivery so I would get them before Christmas - which is the least they could have done in my view. This is the 3rd time I have had to complain about service with Celtic but the first time I have posted a poor review. I have previously had the wrong colour and another year the wrong height of boot sent to me. Although I spoke to 4 different people on the phone this time and the final lady did apologise and get something done, I have received no response in writing to my letter and don't even know if it was received. I think it's time Celtic pulled themselves together a bit on the service front. I am very happy with the quality of the boots I finally received, but that's what my partner paid for anyway and it should be the bottom line for a company, not something to be proud of. We might as well have driven 300 miles to
Cornwall to get the boots in view of the hassle we have had. No stars.

Excellent service and a great product. It was my first time order of Celtic boots (the classic ones) as I needed some financial courage to splurge on this buy. However, I don't regret it. Except for a little delay of the local post office (we forgive them because of the holidays), everything else ran smoothly. The boots fit perfectly as I am a size 38 and ordered a size 5. The colour is very nice and they feel very warm and comfortable.The extra insole is a bit large but can be easily trimmed. Over all, top service and top products. Highly recommended!

I have wanted a pair of Celtic boots for such a long time and now I have them I'm in no way disappointed. They were supposed to be my christmas present but I've had them on every day since they arrived last week. I'm normally a size 5 and they fit perfectly, I would say that I don't have particulary slim calves but there is plenty of room to wear these with skinny jeans etc. My only niggle would be that, because they are so cosy, the tops of my legs feel chilly so maybe should've gone for the calf length - never mind, there's always next christmas!! Got my eye on the biker boots next :-)

So perfect! I had some slippers earlier in the year and decided to treat my self to some boots. I had a pair of Uggs a few years ago, but loved my slippers so much and wanted to go British hence my decision to go for the boots. I tend to have a size 6 in a shoe and 7 in a boot, and I wasn't disappointed with the sizing. The fit is perfect and they are so cosy and fit so much better around my calf than my old boots. Before I ordered my boots I phoned to ask if the height of the boot, stated on the website, is measured from the floor or from the top of the foot. The operator told me to measure from the floor. Based on this information I ordered the classic boot regular height which should have been 22cm from the floor. They are actually 33cm from the floor!!! And 22cm from the top of the foot. Obviously I am disappointed ( though the boots are beautiful).

I've had my calf height pair of these for a few weeks now and am reluctant to take them off, indoors or out. They are superbly comfortable, even on long walks with the dog. Fantastically warm and cosy, they just mould to your feet. I have my eye on the knee length ones now, not that I need them with feet already warm and toasty in these, but they all look so gorgeous I'm finding it hard to resist.

I have ordered these boots for three generations of girls in our family in both classic and shortie sizes over the past three years. We adore them - the Classics are our outdoor boots and the shorties are our indoor and summery boots. We wash them regularly - some fading has occurred, but it's not a problem. I think they are better quality than Uggs and the hoardes of Ugg copies. Made in UK too! Fab.

The boots arrived very promptly.They are smaller than Ugg boots.The feet are narrow,so you could not get a sock into them, even though in the literature they are shown with models wearing socks.
They will only fit over leggings or very narrow trousers.

I ordered the classic regular in Mocca and love them! They are very comfy, warm but not overly so and look really great. I like that they are a bit more sleek-looking compared to uggs and emus.

But... even thought I do love them, when I wanted a pair of shortie (mini) boots I ended up going for a pair of EMU's rather than the Celtic shorties and the reasons for that is:

I know the Celts are handmade but there is a noticable difference in the amount of wool on the inside of my boots, the right one has far less wool-lining, especially at the toe-area compared to my left boot. I think this is partly down to the fact that the wool has been hand-trimmed but there is enough of a differance to really annoy me when I think about it!

Also the amount of wool on the insole was very dissapointing, I had imagined I would “bury” my feet into lovely soft sheepskin wool but no, there isn't enough wool for me to even feel it between my little toes, when compared to my EMU's this became even more dissapointing, in my EMU's my feet proper “sink” into masses of lovely soft wool!

Anyway, for the price and the fact the Celts are 100% handmade and British I still do love them but would perhaps think twice about getting a second pair in the future!

Everyone knows you can pick up a pair of UGG-style boots pretty cheaply these days, but you get what you pay for - this is my second pair (first pair lasted 6 years of constant wear including being scribbled on by small people). Having searched the internet for UGG boots our researches revealed that even the Chinese admit that Uggs were invented In Newquay, Cornwall and the name is being used by manufacturers elswhere to describe look alikes. One pair fetched £168 (second hand) on ebay just because they had 'UGG' label on heal and were in a 'genuine' box. My Celtic boots are great, by the way.

Very speedy delivery! I have the problem of being a half size so had to order the size above and haven't worked out how to deal with the heel slippage, the smaller size would have been too small. Very warm and cosy but not perfect. Why is the trim round the foot so bright orange, something more neutral would look better with this spice boot.

I work from home, but if I wear my new celtic boots I feel too relaxed to work - as wearing them is like walking on clouds of soft warm fluff!They are the most comfortable footwear I have ever had. Having size 8 to 9 feet has made buying footware very difficult,especially online, but my size 9 boots fit perfectly. I have never had a pair of Uggs (too expensive) but I did have a very cheap version (not made in the UK) that only lasted one year. If you are undecided whether to buy these boots or not - BUY THEM! I have just had a foot operation and now have a sensitive scar along my foot. I have worn the boots all weekend and now dread taking them off. They are so soft around my foot, yet provide lots of support. They also have a reinforced heel, so unlike cheaper boots, they are less likely to collapse at the back. The box comes with instructions on how tight they first are, how to tell if they fit, and how they will expand to fit your foot, and it was exactly right. If you want snug, warm and great feeling footwear, you want these. Well worth the money.

I was advised to persist for a day or so and I'm so pleased that I did as they now fit perfectly; and far nicer than the 'opposition' brand that I've had on long term loan from my daughter!

I love my new classic boots, they are wonderful and so comfy. I tore the ligaments in my ankle 8 weeks ago and up to now I've only been able to wear my Celtic Sheepskin slippers as they were the only footwear that I could bear to walk in. I've been wearing Celtic boots for years in the regular height and love them because they're beautifully made, fit perfectly, keep my feet and ankles really cosy and are timelessly fashionable. I have a history of buying white and have become known as “the girl in the little white boots” - everybody likes them! Having worn the original Ugg boots for a period of more than 20 years, ( Way before they became fashionable!!!) helped by the fact that we have family, and bought them at the Australian price, and not at the over inflated British price. I decided to try Celtic Boots for my youngest two boys. The boots came very quickly, and the boys were thrilled with them. Beautifully made. Can't find any fault with them, and easily every bit as good as the most famous brand on Earth. So when it came to replacing mine, I obviously chose Celtic again. Brilliant quality very snug good sizing. If there are any comparisons to be had with the ugg boot I would say better quality, thick sheepskin. The only thing I didn't like is that the heel is softer and tends to slob off, could do with heel stiffners put in. Other than that they are great value and good quailty. I like the union jack tag too.

This is my second pair I've brought in less than 12 months and again I can't fault the service I have recieved.

I bought these boots last year in Spice, and I have worn them and worn them walking dogs, going shopping, just in doors around the house.

I bought calf length boots in mocca for my daughter for christmas. She had asked for the more expensive uggs but I looked at your website as I own a pair of your boots which are approx 16 years old and bear the 'original ugg made in cornwall' label. They are still gorgeous even now!

I ordered a pair of these for my step daughter's birthday. I haven't given them to her yet and I don't want to...I want to keep them! I'm a regular size 6 (39 European) and the size 6 Classic Boots fit me perfectly, so I would recommend you order your normal size. Postage to France took a good 10 days but they arrived safely and well packed.

Well,,,, i have just taken delivery of my new Celt Boots and wat can I say?? FANTASTIC!! I ordered the spray protector too, and was disappointed when that arrived yesterday without the boots, but no longer diappointed, and I placed the order Sunday, so very speedy delivery. The boots are fantastic quality, much better than the Ugg brand ones,and whats even better, these don't come with the badge on the back of them, they are just completely plain apart from the Celtic label to the right on the right boot, very suttle. I have the boots on right now, and feel extremely snug so I am hoping they give a little, if they don't I wont be disappointed in sending them back to get the bigger size, i might even go for the taller height as I didnt relaise the 21cm height on these included the 2cm sole :D so the Whooga boots I currently own in regular height are actually taller than these. Fab custoemr service, answered my queries really fast and were really friendly. I can honestly say I will never buy the Ugg branded boots, such a waste of money, Celtic are doing themselves proud producing the boots in the UK supporting our ecomnomy, well done :)

These boots are the best UGG style boots around. I have had UGG Australia, and EMU, but these are far superior. I like the fact that this is also a British brand, not mass produced in China. I am normaly a UK 5 and needed a UK 6. Have just purchased some Aqua Lamb for wet weather and can't wait to see what they are like.

Ordered boots - next day delivery arrived today. I am a size 5 1/2 and the 6 fits brilliantly. I am an EMU boots wearer but these are much more sturdy and a solid fit more snug than Emu not as wide on the foot which is more flattering highly recommend them I think they will last a lot longer

I am chuffed indeed with my new boots! The sheepskin is soft and warm and excellently breathable, and the fit of my boots is perfect. I bought a size 8 (my usual size being 7.5) and am very glad I did so, as the fit is just right. The boots are supportive and do not cause my arches to ache (as other less sturdy boots of this kind do), and compare very favourably with other boots of this kind I have worn. The sole is sturdy, and the boot contructed in a way that promises excellent wear.

Since receiving a pair of these boots for xmas the only time I've not worn them has been when my daughter has stolen them! They are so warm & comfortable it's like going out in slippers. My hairdresser also has a pair & has had them resoled twice, which means they are inexpensive (she had had hers 4 years).
