I too was dissappointed with these slippers they look lovely but with the ribbon toe post make them cheap and not good value for money.

I bought these slippers as a birthday present. I too was surprised to see that the toe post was ribbon and not made of leather or something stronger. Although the slippers are beautiful and very warm, they won't be as long lasting as I originally assumed. This has not put me off ordering other products from yourselves but you ought to consider redesigning this item.

bought these for a present and they were disappointed with them - the ribbon toe post does not feel very safe and as the other review said, they were afraid of falling down stairs in them, sadly I am having to return them and exchange them for some more safer slippers which is more cost! I don't think the photo is a true representation of the the product. The lady of the picture must have incredibly long toes!

I had a pair of these a couple of years ago and loved them, they wore out completely so I got a new pair for xmas. What a disappointment! They will be going back as they are completely different from the originals and not at all like the picture. The ribbon no longer adjusts the size so now they are too big and can't be changed and also the sheepskin on the top is no longer as per the picture but a completely different design - very disappointing that the picture is no longer representative.

Truly gorgeous ... to look at. Sadly I'm finding the satin ribbon toe-post makes them unstable to wear. I.e., very little 'grip' between the toes - which makes them somewhat dangerous to wear when going down stairs. Would purchase again if a leather toe-post was substituted for the ribbon. And by the way, I disagree that the ribbon is 'tacky'; I think it gives the slippers a rather glamourous film star look. Such a shame therefore that I can't float around in them as I'd planned!

Just reading some of the reviews whilst looking for some replacements for these, and thought would add a comment. Although the pink ribbon isn't detachable it also makes the slippers adjustable and a sheepskin toe post may be too thick, especially if your not used to wearing flip-flops. As for how long it will last, mine are now at least two years old, worn every day and Ive managed to wear out all the sheepskin by the toes and heels hence the replacement. Given I was worries about the price, I think I've had my wear out of them.

I ordered these as a christmas present, and like the other views are a little disappointed, I think the pink ribbon does make them look cheap and I also didn't realise that it was an integral part of the slipper. I also have to agree that they could have been packaged slightly better

I had intended to remove the cheap ribbon once I received the slippers (for myself not a gift) so was terribly disappointed that it was part of the contstruction and could not be removed. I think this is cunning marketing and probably against the trades description act as there is no mention of it. The toe piece should be made of sheepskin as the images imply and I am not sure how long the ribbon will last because it will be difficult to replace. I was seriously considering returning them but can't be bothered - quite often the case I think with mail order. However, I will not be purchasing other goods from this store because I no longer trust their description.

Loved the slippers ! Bought 3 pairs for gifts -2 arrived in boxes whilst the other arrived day later no box !! Dissapointed in presentation!

Nice slippers - but agree ribbon used is cheap and tacky!!
Again received in a plastic bag - not in its own box.
Great product let down bt penny pinching!!!
Your are very close to being an iconic brand but you MUST ensure the presentaion matches the quality of sheepskin.

I'm disappointed in this purchase. The pink ribbon forms part of the slipper and acts as the thong in between the toes. Also the ribbon is too long and is cheap looking. I don't think they are worth the price paid and feel they would soon look shabby so I'm definitely sending them back.

These have just arrived and are a Christmas present. The ribbon looks a bit cheap and disappointed that the toe post is ribbon and not sheepskin - none of the photographs really show this. I might be sending them back.

I disagree that you need a bigger size. I am a size 3 /12 and ordered 36 and they fit lovely.
These slippers are great - they keep your feet lovely and warm without overheating them! Also, extremely comfi!

WOW, so very pleased with these slippers, i would however go a size bigger than what you take as all the sizing is small. GREAT PRODUCT.

These are a little wide on the foot - its not the ribbon that's the problem but the shape of the fluffy bit - and this puts them a little too far on the floppy side of flip. But - celtic sheekpskin is by far the best and I find that their fotowear lasts two to three times longer than certain well known competitors. The width issue is easily solved with a single stitch with some strong thread and its well worth doing as otherwise these are far superior to any sililar slippers that you will get elsewhere. So be warned, but don't be put off - they are fantabulous and I waer them all the time, as I do their boots in the winter.

Had these bought for me last summer as a birthday present and are still going strong. Although they are held on with the ribbon, this is quite comfy as a toe post and easy enough to tighten to how you want them to feel.

I have wooden floors and stone kitchen tiles in my home - these slippers are like a duvet for my feet, but at the same time they are comfortably cool and breathable because they are open - highly recommended. My only suggestion for improvement is if the toe post was made stronger as currently it is held only by the pink ribbon - gorgeously frivolous but not practical for ladies who want to wear them around the house doing chores.
