My first purchase from Celtic and I am delighted with the excellent service. Now, the socks - they are beautifully made, very soft wool, not scratchy at all and the sulpher colour is very attractive. There is only one problem - they are huge! I should have read the other reviews before buying them. I take a standard size 4 shoe and they hang off me, my wellingtons won't pull on if I wear them. This said, I am keeping them to wear as slouch socks in the house as they are so very warm!

Very warm with just the right amount of resistance at the top of the leg to keep
them up. I wear mine on the golf course,
they are ideal in cold weather.

The socks are very soft but as others pointed out the size is huge and I am size 4! I tried them on over other socks and they were still too big so I think they'll be just right for my husband's feet size 8!!

These are large boot socks and work perfectly with wellies or as larger socks worn with ugg-type boots. I am a size 5 shoe and have no problems with the sizing. The wool may feel scratchy to the touch, but not on the foot. I wore them all day and was completely happy with the fit and feel. Thank you!

I don't know how these can be 'one size'! They should be advertised as 'large'. I am a size 4 and my sister a size 5 and the socks were massive on us, the heals came up to so far back up our ankle it was impossible to get our boots over the socks!

Must say I was disappointed with these socks; the 'one size' is enormous & seems to be a mens' sizing & the toe seam is clumsy.

These are great. I thought they might itch as they are wool, but I've just worn them with wellies and when on,they are just fine.I found the foot size comfortable, not too big but then I take a size 7/8.Living on a farm,these are perfect. Some Negative comments I read before I bought could have put me off but didn't.They are after all boot socks and I'm pleased with them.

One size but big on the foot(I'm a 71/2). Definitely for boots only as they are heartily woolly and rough even after a wash. Great for that bit of colour above the boot

I love these socks - they're an elegant and smart version of my bog-standard wellie socks. The quality of the wool is nice and the oatmeal colour looks as it does in the picture. They look really nice with my silver wool dress from you and fit nicely into my last year's Celtic popper boots in black. Yes, feet are a teeny tad on the larger side, but all the better for enabling toes to be warm!

Mixed feelings as wool feels good but a bit large & I take a size 6 but OK in Wellies but not my grey/blue celtic boots and colour is totally different to any shown as I wanted a blue colourway & got a Lilac called Lotus which is nothing like the online or catalogue colour shown.

Love the colour of the socks, but they are slightly itchy and the feet have stretch to an enormous size after just one wearing.

Although good quality they are definitely rough and scratchy, but hoping they will soften in the wash. However, if they don't, it will be an expensive 'mistake'. I bought 2 pairs.

I may return the rose socks because they are not all one soft rose colour as pictured, but have a contrasting 'turn down' in a sort of stripe ( you can just about see this in the colour thumbnail but not in the main pic.).

Socks have been returned to seller as they were not soft. They were harsh and scratchy wool. I've asked for a refund.

Rather expensive, but I will be very cosy at the cat refuge this winter so worth it, and machine washable too so fantastic !

Really pleased with quality, a little wide in the foot size for me, as I have a long narrow foot, but guess after washing they will shape better

Sorry to hear these are sold out! I wanted some more since they are wonderfully warm,comfortable and perfect with all my seven pairs of Celt boots. Wanted men's ones, too. Hope they'll be back.
