I bought this coat at the beginning of the winter and have had the most wonderful time in the cold weather in it. I almost regret the appearance of spring when I must lovingly say goodbye until next winter. I thank you and, of course, the wonderful animal who gave its natural coat to me. Whenever I put it on, I am so aware of the gift of the animal.

Like many before me I have coveted this coat for ages. I dithered about the cost but eventually decided that I was only going to have one winter coat (forever) and this would be it. I love it and so does everyone who has seen me wearing it. I vary in size between a 16 and 18 and it fits me well with room for a cashmere sweater or cardigan if I wish. Toasty!!

I purchased this coat after seeing it on a friend. It was the perfect leather coat that I had been searching for for many years. Having put on some weight in the last year or so, I ordered the medium (12-14) assuming it would be a perfect fit having previosuly been a size 12 but now more of a 14. To my dismay it was too small. The people at Celtic Sheepskin were great and agreed to send me the large at no additional postage cost allowing me to hang on to the medium while I compared the sizes. Infuriatingly the large (16-18) was too big. Hence I have had to return BOTH coats. I am so disappointed because I loved the coat. But clearly Celtic Sheepskin do not cater for all sizes. I am not a size 12 and neither am I a size 18, so neither the medium nor the large were going to fit me. Why is there not a 14-16? I am just so disappointed.

OMG this coat is gorgeous and I absolutely love it. I am a size 14 and opted for the medium which fits perfectly; not too big when worn with just a thin top underneth and not too small/tight with a thick jumper on. This coat has provided perfect protection against the current cold weather and I expect it to do so for many years to come. Expensive yes but already worth every penny.

This coat was a Christmas present from my husband. I have been wearing it now for over a month and I would like to say that it is probably the most beautiful item of clothing in my wardrobe! It is also surprisingly light and very warm. In the short time I have been wearing it I have received compliments galore! Update to my previous review. I have now had the chance to wear my coat. I am a size 16 and the help I got with chosing was great, thank you Celtic. I went for the medium and that fits even with a jumper on. I took off the hood as at the moment I havent needed to use it. The coat is soft and definately luxurious, not a heavyweight either. I suffer severely with arthritis and the warmth with the lightness of the coat, has suited me very well.

Like others before me I have had this coat on my wish list for some time. I left my last casual winter coat in the USA earlier this month for my daughter to enjoy and to justify buying this coat for me!! Just wanted to follow up on the initial review I posted just before Christmas - I've been wearing this coat for a month now and, I have to say, it just gets better and softer with wear. I've just given it a light spray with the Celtic Sheepskin Protector spray stuff - was a little concerned that this may adversely affect the colour, but it looks just fine.

As many others I had been admiring this coat since last year, but the cost made me hold back. I received it as a surprise Christmas present and can say I absolutely love it, it is gorgeous. I am a size 12 and the small is just right, will allow for a jumper and still have plenty of room. I have waited a long time for this coat, but it has been well worth it.

I'd had my eye on this coat for ages and ordered it for a special Christmas present. After many, many times of standing in front of the mirror I have sadly decided to return it. I ordered the large (being a size 16) and found that unfortunaley it just doesn't suit my body shape. I'm only about 5ft 3 and a half and whilst undone it seemed to swamp me a little but when done up on the middle toggle it actually pulled slightly (this being my hip area, rather than waist because of my height) and despite all other comments that it's a generous fit, it also hugged my bottom half in a not too flattering way. The hood I found rather heavy and would probably have worn it without. Reluctantly I realised it wouldn't have had the wear it deserves as I just didn't feel comfy in it so although a beautiful garment, sadly not one for me as it would have been a crime to spend that much and not enjoy wearing it. However my new biker boots are great and enjoying wearing these and shoes always fit whatever your height!

I asgree with everyone else that this is a fantastic coat - lighter than I expected. My only quibble was that I discovered it was NOT made in this country! Also the lining was a little thinner than I expected, but hopefully it will last for years. Looks good on too!

What a gorgeous coat, the picture cannot tell you just how soft the leather is. I have never worn anything so soft and I can't wait for the weather to get colder (this will now probably be the hottest Winter on record!). In common with many other reviewers, I had liked the coat for a long while before purchasing it. Was the expense going to be justified? The recent 15% reduction on everything forced my hand and I bought the coat. It is beautiful! Warm, light, it fits me and is so verstile as it teams up with clothes for so many varied occasions. I`m so glad I treated myself to this garment. Due to it`s quality I`m sure it will be worn for many years to come.

Got this coat for Xmas - a present from Husband, so am resisting wearing it till Xmas day. Can't wait. Have tried it on of course and a Medium is plenty big enough for me - size 14. Could probably have got away with a small actually but prefer a bit more room. Think this coat is a great 'investment' and can imagine wearing it for many winters to come.

Like others, I too thought long and hard before ordering but am so glad I did. The coat is beautiful, warm and so comfortable to wear. It is a little heavier than some coats but not much and the quality is excellent. This morning, whilst wearing my coat, I tripped and fell running for a bus! I'm sure the coat protected me as I was completely unhurt and luckily the coat was unscathed. Well done Celtic, you saved me from great injury!! Alas, I missed the bus.

The coat was nice but I found the hood to be heavy, dragging the shoulders down and when up it felt too heavy round my head. I expected the lining to be whiter, appeared very dark, perhaps that was due to the picture in the catalogue though.

I love this coat! I was concerned that it would look to bulky on my since I wear a much smaller size. Yet it looks great. Cozy and so perfect in length and fit for layering. This was my Christmas gift to myself and I am travelling throughout Italy for the holidays- So excited to wear this their. I love the waterfall look- yet I really needed something more practical and toasty. I just received it yesterday and had so many compliments! Great to wear open if the sun is out on those rare days in the UK in the winter. Nice to wear closed on the others days.

This coat is absolutely beautiful, I cant believe how soft and pliable it is - no problem to drive in - doesnt feel bulky or stiff as some sheepskin can. I know its a “considered purchase” but the quality is fantastic and I can see myself wearing it for many, many years. Absolutely love it. ! Also I agree with previous reviewers, the size is generous - I'm a 12-14 but the small is ample with room for a thick jumper.

My beautiful coat arrived very quickly. I swithered for over a year as for me it did cost a lot of money and I worried re poor fit/quality and the expense of returning it. Now? don't you dare touch my coat, it was worth every penny. Warm, soft, pliable enough to drive in comfortably, attracts many compliments and people all want to feel it. I love it big time. Well done Celtic sheepskin, you have made a classic without the stiff bulkyness of most sheepskin coats. I'm really verging on a size sixteen but the medium fits me nicely as long as I don't put more weight on. This won't be my last purchase.

This coat which you sent to my sister in UK was for her daughter and she is absolutely over the moon with the quality and warmth, lightness and comfort. A coat that will last her many years. The M fit
was a little too big but with the ability
of being to wear a thick sweater it fits
perfectly - which is what winter dictates.

Great looking coat and not very heavy. I am a size 10 so ordered a small and it is plenty big enough for layers underneath. The leather is very soft and it looks good with all sorts of clothes.

I can only agree with all the other favourable comments! This coat is just gorgeous! It's definitely a generous fitting, so size down and/or heed the advice of the incredibly helpful sales team who got it just right for me! I would normally size GB 14/16 for a coat - but the medium in this is a perfect fit - with plenty of room for chunky winter jumpers. The leather is so soft and supple and hangs beautifully - more like an expensive fur coat than a sheepskin!

Apsolutely thrilled. I am a size 14 and M is the perfect size allowing for plenty of layers underneath if required. Much lighter in weight than I thought and beautifully soft meaning you can wear it in the car without feeling like a `Mitchelin Man`. What a wonderful coat! The touch and feel of it is heaven and it looks a million dollars. It is very easy to wear and not in the least heavy ...... and I have turn back cuffs (being on the short side!). Plenty of room to wear a thick sweater on a real chilly day. Roll on winter. I telephoned through with my order and the man was very helpful I am a good size 12 and he said I would need a small and the coat arrived and next day and its fits lovely. Love this coat! Haven't worn it out yet as it isn't quite cold enough yet. But it's fantastic quality, the coat is so soft, and I just know it is going to keep me warm.

I suffer really badly with the cold so I need something thick to keep the chill out. It's fairly heavy, but not uncomfortably so, and really thick. And considering I bought it for comfort, it looks gorgeous which is a bonus. I got the small which is a little big, but prefer to be able to wrap up in it than feel constricted by it.

So excited to wear this! You won't regret buying it.

Bought this jacket over the telephone, received great help from the staff I dealt with, and then arranged to have a break in Newquay in order to collect the jacket. Fortunately (or unfortunately in terms of driving about)our visit coincided with the snow in Cornwall so I had just the right jacket to wear on the snowy Fistral Beach whilst watching the crazy surfers!!!Very warm, keeps the cold out completely. Have had a lot of positive comments. However, I'm not particularly tall and yet the sleeves are only just long enough without the option to turn back the cuffs to reveal the lining. Having said all that I'm delighted with this jacket.

Fabulous coat ? well worth the wait! As a previous review stated, the photos do not do it justice. A very upmarket style, a buttery soft skin, quite heavy in weight but very snugly, will definitely keep you warm. I?m a size 10 so went for the small size, which is still generous enough to wear sweaters/layers underneath without looking overpowering and too bulky. A real must for any wardrobe!

Today I recieved this beautifull coat and I can tell it is much nicer than the photo can show.
It is a beautifull supple skin - sporty and I'm sure it will be a joy to wear it in a winters day!!!
