ARTWORKER/JUNIOR DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION

Role:  ARTWORKER/JUNIOR DESIGNER

Reporting to:  Marketing Manager

Purpose of role:  To ensure effective brand promotion by preparing high quality, print ready artwork and co-ordinating the daily maintenance of the e-commerce website.

Key Role Objectives:

Website Co-Ordination

·       Image resizing/optimisation for web and loading/tagging new images onto the image library

·       Colour correction and retouching of images for web;

·       Daily editing of the website content to ensure that the website is always up to date

·       Uploading, amending & deleting web content using the Content Management System (CMS)

·       Maintenance of product clearance area using the CMS.

·       To monitor web media and recommend new functionality to improve the Celtic Web offer.

PR Support & Brand Marketing

·       Designing & creating e-mail newsletters using template designs via the CMS.

·       Designing & creating promotional pages and uploading them onto the website via the CMS.

·       Designing and producing press packs and mailers to support PR activity.

·       Preparing high-quality artwork for: adverts, leaflets, posters, product packaging, swing tags, POS materials as required and managing jobs from design through to print and delivery.

This includes:

General

·       To be aware of the companies vision, brand and products

·       To ensure all activity reflects and enhances the Celtic brand

·       To ensure that all Celtic branded communications are presented in a consistent manner

·       To assist in the development of a yearly marketing plan aimed at driving traffic and sales

·       To communicate effectively with other team members and to provide feedback at all times

·        To build in-house relationships with other departments

·        To support the management team with any other duties as agreed.

 

Key Skills:

·       Excellent Mac skills including In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator

·       Creative with an interest in fashion brands and retail

·       Well organized with good time management skills

·       Methodical with excellent attention to detail

·       Flexible and proactive

·       Able to work within brand guidelines to ensure styles are consistent across projects

·       Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers

·       Visual and technical accuracy in artwork production

·       Strong understanding of typography and grids

·       Good sense of colour and design
