CHILDREN'S WOOL KNITWEAR FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Many Britons are hoping for a hot summer this year, as indicated by the recent weather, but parents may need to pack children's wool knitwear with them on trips just in case.
Carol Rowntree Jones, media relations officer at the National Forest, has identified a wide range of activities for youngsters whatever the weather, including pond dipping and cycling.
The new forestry centre Conkers, located in the Midlands, has a programme of fun for children this summer, including mini beast hunting, going out with the rangers, making butterflies and creating performances in its specially built amphitheatre.
Ms Rowntree Jones added: "There's also a new circular bike route so there's good facilities for cycling and gentle walking in the forest. It's geared to families and easy gentle activities which suit most people really well."
When the temperature drops in the evening, or if summer has its cold and rainy moments, children's wool knitwear could prove ideal.
Accommodation and tourism directory iknow-uk recently revealed there is expected to be an increase in people heading to the Peak District on holiday this year.
In its northern location, wool knitwear could be packed as a precaution against any unexpected showers.
