LAYERING ETHICAL CLOTHING 'KEY BACK-TO-SCHOOL TREND FOR GIRLS'
Parents preparing to send their children back to school should use ethical clothing layering to create a vintage look with knitwear, an expert asserts.
Iva Naydenova, writing for Stamford Plus, claims that knits can be paired with a good top and a pair of jeans to create an attractive look for girls.
Regardless of gender, ethical clothing layering will be one of the big trends this autumn and will be visible in schoolyards around the country, she says.
She states that autumn colours will be the order of the day, with green, orange, brown and reds used to good effect.
Ms Naydenova says: "The accent this year stresses on layers for both boys and girls. Create that vintage look by combining your favourite type of jeans … with a nice top and a suitable cardigan."
Last month, Junior magazine fashion director Linda McLean claimed that children's outdoor clothing should be hard-wearing, with traditional items featuring a modern twist being frontrunners in this category.
