ETHICAL CLOTHING 'INCREASINGLY BEING BOUGHT ONLINE'

Ethical clothing fans are increasingly using the internet to make their purchases due to its convenience, a commentator asserts.

Robert Buford, industry expert, claims that people are able to shop at whatever time of the day is convenient for them.

He says that other key advantages that could act as a draw include the fact that they are open all day throughout the week.

Associated savings in labour costs, storage and advertising also make it cheaper to buy online, he suggests.

Mr Buford claims that ethical clothing fans may be able to find the perfect item at a lower cost than on the high street and in a fraction of the time.

Earlier this month, How Green Are My Wellies? author Anna Shepherd told the Times that shoppers should educate themselves more about the issues behind garments, which could see them buying more ethical clothing.

She claimed that an awareness of each step in the sourcing and manufacturing process will raise the profile of the problems created by cheap clothing.ADNFCR-2444-ID-19377215-ADNFCR
