ETHICAL CLOTHING TO BE DISCUSSED AT NICE CONFERENCE
Experts from the ethical clothing industry will meet at a conference discussing the sector, it has emerged.
The Nordic Initiative Clean and Ethical (Nice) event is due to take place on September 23rd in Copenhagen.
Among the speakers will be Sandy MacLennan, Phil Patterson and Catarina Midby - all of whom are connected to the ethical fashion sector in some way.
The theme across the entire event will be A sustainable design process - the future of sustainable fashion, which Nice organisers state involves the entire development of creating an item of clothing.
Sustainable materials may be discussed and the designers will be encouraged to start considering the implications of their products from the initial concept to the end creation.
"By adding a sustainability perspective in the design process, the fashion industry has the advantage of combining two of its core competences - creativity and innovation," Nice reveals.
The project was established by the Nordic Fashion Association, formed in 2008.
