FASHIONISTAS 'MUST CLEAR WARDROBE SPACE FOR ETHICAL CLOTHES'
Fashionistas preparing for the autumn season should ensure they clear enough space in the wardrobe for new ethical clothes, a group claims.
Cleaning firm Merry Maids advises women to be ruthless and donate clothes that are not worn regularly to charity, with pieces holding sentimental value being packed away for storage.
Space should be maximised by adopting the merchandising techniques used by professionals, arranging similar items to hang together in order to clear enough room to add shoe racks or even a small chest of drawers.
"Check out the space above the hanging rails in your wardrobe, as there may be room for an additional shelf for out of season shoes, bags or other items," the organisation states.
With all the new room, women may want to take a leaf out of Delila Bouakkaz's book and buy ladies' knitwear, following her recommendations to the Galway Advertiser that ethical clothes in this style will be big this season.
