CABLE-KNIT SWEATER 'A GREAT MEN'S KNITWEAR GIFT'
A cable-knit sweater is a great gift for fans of men's knitwear as Christmas draws closer, a fashion writer has suggested.
Connie Tamoto of the Winnipeg Free Press suggested that these jumpers are an "update on the classic fisherman's sweater" and is "a fabulous way to keep out the draft on a cold winter's day".
She added that cable-knit sweaters look best when paired with casual jeans.
X Factor finalist Olly Murs has been spotted several times this season in men's knitwear and was recently pictured in the Daily Mail sporting a chunky knit cardigan, which he wore with brown jeans.
The singer has also been photographed with fellow finalist Stacey Solomon, who has also been seen looking cosy in women's knitwear this winter.
Stacey, who has been romantically linked with Olly in recent weeks, has been spotted several times in knitwear items - including warm beanie hats and grey cardigans - and leaving the X Factor studio in warm Ugg-style boots.
