CLOTHING MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN COULD SUIT "QUALITY" SHOPPER
Clothing made in Great Britain - such as the collections offered by Celtic Sheepskin - could meet the needs of today's consumers.
According to Tamara Sender, senior fashion analyst at Mintel, shoppers are now looking for "quality over quantity" and are willing to spend more money on such purchases.
She says there is an emerging trend where shoppers are willing to increase their expenditure in order to own an item that will last longer.
Retailers are beginning to recognise this habit, she continues, with many selling clothing of a higher quality than previously seen.
"The high-fashion retailers who do sell the classic styles [that] promote quality can expect to perform better," Ms Sender adds.
Her comments suggest people are thinking more about the purchases they make, rather than simply opting for the cheapest choices.
A recent article in the London Evening Standard stated clothing made in Great Britain has played a part in this shift.
It revealed there is a growing trend for outfits that are "quintessentially British" and this change was seen during the recession, as people started to opt for investment pieces.
