COUNTRY CLOTHING: MEN'S KNITWEAR 'CAN MAKE WEARERS APPEAR THINNER'
When worn correctly, men's knitwear can have the effect of keeping its wearer warm and allowing them to appear more like they want to be, a blogger claims.
Jason Segrott, writing for Charlie's Wardrobe, suggests that well-chosen garments in this style can make a man look taller or thinner.
Among the key items he identifies is a v-neck knit in a slim and dark design, which can be worn over a crisp white shirt.
Other garments of men's knitwear it highlights include crew neck tops, the cardigan, the shawl collar and the vest, he adds.
Mr Segrott states: "You don't need every one of these pieces, but each of them serve a different purpose. If you are like me and know what you like, then you may get multiples of the same."
Earlier this month, Seek4Shopping's Dominik Macinger claimed that men's knitwear will be one of the big trends this autumn following its popularity on the catwalk this year.
