Knitwear and a mens jumper will be key parts of male wardrobes as winter approaches and the days get cooler.
This is according to Aimee Lastrella, writing for the Daily Sundial, who noted while men do not have as many options as women when picking their winter fashions, there are a number of staple items all guys should invest in.
One of these is a cardigan, she observed, stating the details of these garments - such as the buttons and neckline - are set to become more important this season.
"It can feature elbow patches, a different-coloured trim, a hood, a zipper or the growing trend of a mock neck collar," she wrote.
Ms Lastrella also advised males to purchase a Henley T-shirt, noting these are "the ultimate layering piece for guys" and look great underneath a v-neck mens jumper.
Her comments come after image consultant Jill Hane said in an article for Cincinnati.com that guys should match a mens jumper with smart trousers for a business-casual look.
