LATE SUMMER 'CALLS FOR MENS KNITWEAR'
Mens knitwear could be a useful addition to British wardrobes in the current climes, it has been suggested.
According to Gareth Wyn Davies, writing for the Daily Telegraph, it is time to start thinking about wrapping up.
"Late summer and a man's mind turns to cardigans to add to the collection," he states.
Mr Davies says he has a particular penchant for items of mens knitwear with elbow patches.
It is easy to customise plain cardigans and add the patches on at a later date by purchasing them from a haberdashery, he suggests.
The publication previously stated these items of knitwear are seeing a resurgence in popularity.
It noted: "The mens cardigan is undergoing a fashion resurrection thanks to male fashionistas like David Beckham."
And the garments can be worn in place of a hoodie for more casual occasions, teamed with jeans or with a suit, the article added.
