MENS CASHMERE JUMPERS ON DISPLAY AT RYDER CUP
Mens cashmere jumpers are in favour among players at this year's Ryder Cup, which is being held in Wales.
The Boston Globe recently revealed classic golf fashions have made a comeback and are being seen on the fairways of the sport's major tournaments.
It stated purple cashmere sweaters are the main component of the American squad's outfits and are worn with grey striped trousers.
Red, white and blue belts have been selected to show the players' allegiance and these are teamed with a zip-up sweater worn over the cashmere jumpers to add extra warmth.
Other sports are also opting for "throwback uniforms", the publication noted, with retro looks proving popular among many teams.
Rain seen in much of the UK over the weekend meant players were forced to don their waterproof clothing over their knitwear, the article explained.
The wet weather has forced play to enter a fourth day for the first time in the Ryder Cup's history, with competitors taking to the course today (October 4th).
