MENS JUMPERS MAY ALLOW FOR TEXTURE VARIATION

Males wishing to experiment with a range of textures could consider purchasing a mens jumper.

Combining a range of materials in this way may become a trend, if suggestions by Simon Crompton of Style Crave are anything to go by.

He explains men can wear contrasting textiles in order to create a unique look that is coherent overall.

Giving the example of suits, Mr Crompton suggests the three main factors - suit, tie and handkerchief - do not necessarily need to match each other perfectly.

In fact, the more stylish males may opt for the opposite approach, as the writer states: "Contrasting their textures is certainly the aim for a sophisticated ensemble."

A woollen or knitted tie can work well with tweed jackets and a silk handkerchief, he explains.

Those wishing to follow this principle with other ensembles could choose a mens jumper and team it with a jacket of a contrasting texture.

Alternatively, layering the knitwear over a shirt may create a similar look.

"Whatever you're wearing, just remember to consider both texture and formality," Mr Crompton concludes.
