MENS JUMPERS 'SHOULD NOT BE PLACED ON HANGERS'
Those who have just purchased a mens jumper are advised not to place the garments on hangers.
Instead, the knitwear should be folded and kept in a drawer, according to One India, which says this will keep them looking like new.
When the pieces require cleaning, it is better to avoid washing machines, instead taking them to a dry cleaner's or hand washing sweaters in cold water.
Another tip males might wish to follow is to wear a cotton shirt underneath the number, as this will protect the fibres.
It's worth considering the types of other materials that make contact with the wool, because some can ruin or damage the textile, with Velcro proving particularly risky.
Finally, a soft brush can be used to keep mens jumpers looking their best and this should help to avoid "fuzzing", the article notes.
The Daily Mail recently suggested ladies cashmere jumpers can be kept in freezers to get rid of any insects.
