PARIS MEN'S FASHION WEEK FEATURES WOOL KNITWEAR
Paris Men's Fashion Week saw creations made from wool knitwear, it has been reported.
Knitted cycling shorts were worn by models at the Lanvin show and designers Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz went for a sporty theme in their collection.
Outdoor clothing may have also been suited to the range, which aims to be practical and wearable.
Mr Elbaz was quoted by Agence France-Presse (AFP) as saying: "The clothes are classic, you can wear them anywhere. We didn't show a single tuxedo this time."
Sustainable materials could have been appropriate, with the collection based on a city worker who enjoys the great outdoors.
"A palette of autumnal colours" were used to achieve the desired look of flitting "between the office and trips out in the wilderness", the international news agency explained.
The event follows Milan Men's Fashion Week, where designers embraced "eco-chic" and chose sustainable materials such as wool knitwear, according to AFP.
