SHEEPSKIN JACKET GETS CORRIE ACTOR HIS PART
Conor Ryan, who is famous for playing Len Windass in the ITV soap Coronation Street, has revealed that his dad's sheepskin jacket helped him to nail the part.
The 36-year-old former nurse wore his dad's sheepskin coat for his audition.
He told the Manchester Evening News that his choice of coat had helped him stand out from the other men auditioning as they were mainly dressed in black leather jackets.
Mr Ryan added that he had continued to wear the coat when acting as Les.
"That was a nice tribute, to be able to wear my dad's sheepskin throughout my time on the show," he added.
Before taking on the role of Les last year, Mr Ryan played violent stepdad Terry Hall in Hollyoaks.
He is not the only star to reveal a penchant for sheepskin.
Last month, the US president Barak Obama was pictured wearing a leather jacket while on a state visit to China.
He chose a brown coat, which he had on over his suit and a jumper.
