WOOL KNITWEAR AT FLAVOUR OF SHETLAND
People looking to pick up some knitwear made in Great Britain will be able to do so at the Flavour of Shetland Festival this year.
Taking place in Lerwick, on the island's east coast, between June 17th-20th, the event will consist of four days showcasing some of Shetland's finest food, music, culture and craft to locals and visiting tourists.
According to the Shetland Times, performances from Norman and the Folding Deckchairs and the Shetland Fiddlers will be accompanied by a new craft village, where festival goers can wander through to pick up some unique hand-made goods.
Wool knitwear made in Great Britain will be available, alongside collectible knitted bears, contemporary woven textiles, traditional and modern furniture and various photography pieces.
A recent study from Kelkoo showed consumers looking for wool knitwear are currently paying an average premium of 25 per cent more for products with green credentials, which many shoppers believe is worth it for ethically responsible fashion.
