CALIFORNIAN SUMMER 'CALLS FOR MENS KNITWEAR'
Mens knitwear might be a wise addition to the suitcases of those heading to California this summer.
According to the Press Democrat, the weather in the US state is cooler than normal, which means people are having to wrap up in warmer clothing.
"For sun lovers, there's little to do but shake their fists at the sky and throw on a cardigan," the article explains.
The publication claims July was also "sweater weather", as temperatures were far lower than they usually are at this time of year.
However, if things warm up, mens knitwear may still be a handy option, as items such as mens jumpers and cardigans are ideal for those wanting to cover up in the sun.
Wool is known for its breathable qualities - particularly in comparison to man-made fibres - so it may well prove to be useful in all types of weather.
The publication goes on to explain there are some benefits to the colder Californian weather, such as local athletes who are finding it easier to train in such conditions than the usual highs of above 100 degrees Celsius.
