COUNTRY CLOTHING 'IS A HIGH STREET TREND'
Country clothing has been cited by fashion writers as the ideal attire for a weekend break.
It seems that the look of country clothing has become a trend on the high street as well as outdoors, the Daily Mail reports.
When planned properly, it is also possible to create a cosy weekend wardrobe that can be adapted for wearing at the office.
Scarves are a great way to accessorise and just add a hint of the country look to an outfit.
However, for those wanting to go a little further, plaid, tweed and fur are all good materials to look for in clothing.
A simple skirt can be worn to work and then a coat and tights may be donned to turn the look into an outdoor outfit fit for a country retreat.
Woollen trench coats and knitwear can also be added to simple shift dresses to create that cosy country look.
It seems the trend is also popular in the States, with the Canadian Press stating designer collections for autumn in New York feature the "city-meets-country look".
