KNITWEAR 'CREATES MORE STYLISH LOOK' WITH DUNGAREES
A cardigan can add style to a pair of dungarees, according to fashion writers.
The Hindustan Times explains that dungarees are set to see a comeback and they can be adapted in a number of ways.
Ladies knitwear is just one means of transforming the trend and a cardigan in a light colour makes the look "more stylish", the writer notes.
New York Fashion Week this year announced the dungaree as the latest item to become all the rage in the fashion world.
Designer Mandira Wirk told the publication: "Ditching its earlier frumpy maternity look, the new-look dungaree is chic and very trendy. As it is a body fit, it accentuates the waist, enhancing the womanly silhouette."
Other than adding knitwear to the item, a belt is also recommended to break up the denim of the dungarees.
Wool crepe and linens also allow the look to appear more relaxed.
For those fans of all things nautical, navy dungarees can look great when worn with a striped top, it was noted.
Breton stripes currently seem to be everywhere on the high street and the nautical look has been cited by a number of fashion publications as a trend for the summer.
