KNITWEAR 'KEY TREND' FOR THE WHOLE YEAR
Knitwear and woollen items are among the ten key items for 2010, according to one journalist.
Fashion writer for al.com Debra Braggs explained that the two essentials emerged victorious from a convention in Las Vegas.
MAGIC Marketplace is where many of America's top high-street brands meet to purchase the next season's items, she explains.
"This is where real fashion meets the street. Whatever is bought and sold here is what you and I will be wearing next season," Ms Braggs stated.
A cardigan will be an essential item in many women's wardrobe for the rest of the year.
Ms Braggs writes that it was "brought back to fashion's forefront" by Michelle Obama, who seems to prefer the item.
Knitwear on the whole will be another look to watch out for. Preppy styles that are inspired by school wear such as argyle jumpers can be expected, she continued.
A trend that does not seem to be fading is 1980s style, with big shoulder pads set to boom.
During the past season many high street chains have filled their stores with sequins, shoulder pads and nipped-in waists in a throw-back to the era.
