KNITWEAR MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN FEATURES AT FESTIVAL
Knitwear made in Great Britain was on display over the weekend, as visitors flocked to the Flavour of Shetland event.
Held in Lerwick, the festival began on Thursday (June 17th) and continued throughout the weekend.
Organisers promised: "Some of Shetland's best craftspeople will once again showcase their products highlighting the range of craft and knitwear available locally."
A host of wool knitwear companies attended the event and displayed their clothing, with one stall highlighting the use of traditional spinning and knitting methods.
While some visitors may have been disappointed the weather was rather poor, it proved to be a benefit to others.
Marketing officer for the Shetland Islands Council Kevin Moreland told the Shetland Times: "The retailers were also very happy, the textiles in particular did excellently - I think they sold out of gloves."
The annual festival featured a selection of stalls, including food and drink exhibitions and local music displays.
