LADIES CARDIGANS COULD BE IDEAL FOR SUMMER HOLIDAYS
Ladies cardigans might be the ideal items to take on holiday this summer for women who want to pack fewer clothes.
TV stylist Brix Smith-Start offered her advice for putting together a fashionable and practical suitcase.
She said: "You probably only need one set of warm clothes for a sunny holiday just in case."
This could include a ladies cardigan, which may prove to be a perfect cover-up for the evenings and handy should the weather turn cooler.
Ms Smith-Start advised holidaymakers to check the weather forecast of their chosen destination before heading away, as this will avoid the mistake of packing unnecessary items.
Her suggestions follow a study by Thomson as part of its sustainable tourism campaign Holidays Forever.
The research found one-third of travellers fail to use a quarter of the items they take on a break.
And 25 per cent of people spend between two and three days packing their bags for their holiday.
Planning ahead and taking multi-functional clothing should ensure women get the most out of their clothing, Ms Smith-Start added.
