LADIES CARDIGANS 'PERFECT WORKWEAR FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS'
Ladies cardigans could be the ideal way for pregnant women to remain stylish while being practical at the same time.
The knitwear is particularly useful for workwear, Amy Tara Koch, author of Bump It Up: Transform Your Pregnancy into the Ultimate Style Statement, was quoted by McClatchy-Tribune News Service as explaining.
She says ladies cardigans can be worn to the office and teamed with a scarf or shawl to create a fashionable look.
The scarves may also be made from wool, with heavy cashmere or lightweight cottons described by Ms Koch as "the ultimate layering piece".
Ladies cardigans could also be worn under a thin leather belt, which will "add polish" to an outfit and create shape.
Those who want to go for a boho theme may opt for a macrame or leather tie belt, with all sorts of varieties available as "a functional style element that delivers the illusion of a waistline", Ms Koch explains.
Her advice may be welcomed by pregnant celebrities such as Alicia Keys, who proudly showed off her bump over the weekend, after getting married to producer Swizz Beatz.
