LADIES CASHMERE JUMPERS MAY HELP OVER-50S STAY STYLISH
A ladies cashmere jumper could be ideal for those aged over 50 who still want to look stylish.
According to Ceri Wheeldon, editor of FabafterFifty.com, this age group is increasingly looking for ways to remain fashionable.
"We don't want to be frumpy we absolutely want to be stylish, but we don't want to be mutton dressed as lamb. We want to be age appropriate but with a bit of flair," she says.
Ms Wheeldon explains low-cut tops and miniskirts are a no-go, but this doesn't mean over-50s want to dress like elderly women.
A ladies cashmere jumper could be the perfect choice, as it can be worn by all age groups and is a classic piece that never seems to go out of fashion.
The garment can also be layered with other items during cold winter months, or worn with a simple pair of trousers as the seasons change.
Published in May, the Mintel UK Women's Fashion Lifestyles report found mothers tend to regain an interest in looking well-dressed when their children leave home, although they are less keen to sport high-fashion ensembles.
