LADIES KNITWEAR 'IDEAL FOR 1950S STYLE'
Fashion is currently all about looking to the past for inspiration but modern-day women may find it hard to pull off a 1950s style - and that's where ladies knitwear comes in.
According to Roxanne Parker of the Irish Independent, keeping top halves simple is the key to wearing a 50s skirt with panache and ladies cardigans could very well be the way to do so.
She also recommended opting for ladies knitwear such as a cable or plain jumper, with three-quarter-length sleeves.
"The 50s look is all about looking polished, ladylike and elegant, as perfectly demonstrated on the catwalk this winter by Louis Vuitton and Prada," Ms Parker observed, continuing to say that teaming outfits with skinny belts could be an excellent way of adding definition.
And she's not the only one to believe that ladies knitwear is the bee's knees when it comes to vintage style - Lynne McCrossan of Stv recently put together a retro look using a white ladies jumper, pink heels and tight black jeans.
