MENS JUMPER 'COULD DRESS DOWN TAILORED SHORTS'
Wearing a mens jumper with a pair of tailored shorts could dress down the look and make it more suitable for casual occasions.
This is according to an article in the Wall Street Journal, which described a range of different ways to wear shorts.
Designer Robert Geller said dressy shorts look best when made from sustainable materials such as cotton, as it will add structure to the ensemble.
A simple mens jumper can transform the garments into a dressed-down outfit and knee-high socks are a good option with this style.
Mr Geller also advised wearing a mens cardigan with tailored shorts "for a more casual but still polished look" and this should be placed over a "neat T-shirt".
The shorts should be worn in classic colours such as black, khaki or grey and end at the knee when standing, otherwise they can resemble beach attire, he added.
Simon Crompton from Style Crave recently stated his belief that mens knitwear can be "indescribably useful", as items made from the sustainable material can be worn for both casual and dressy occasions.
