Merino wool socks are a staple item for City workers who care about their clothes, it has been claimed.
Around six pairs of socks made from the sustainable material are commonly owned by men working in the City of London, Style Crave revealed.
They will also own a similar amount of cotton socks, which can be worn on hotter days, while the Merino wool items are ideal for cooler weather.
According to the website, the colour and length also shows whether or not a man cares about his appearance and clothing.

Full-calf socks are most commonly worn by this group, as they are likely to remain taut for a smarter look.
