PRINCE CHARLES DISCOVERS YARN INDUSTRY AT NATIONAL WOOL MUSEUM
Prince Charles is to visit the National Wool Museum and learn about the yarn industry today (June 28th).
As part of a royal tour around Wales, the Prince will be welcomed at the museum in Dre-Fach Felindre, near Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire.
The heir to the throne launched The Wool Project earlier this year, which may be one of the motives behind his visit.
As part of the campaign, the Prince aims to promote the benefits of the sustainable material and represent the many manufacturers and farmers involved with the sector.
His trip to the National Wool Museum will be followed by a reception held at the site, formerly known as the Cambrian Mills.
Visitors can learn about the process of creating wool knitwear for a variety of purposes and discover the industry's history.
It is also possible for people to attempt to create wool themselves, with lessons in spinning and carding on offer.
