SCARVES 'GIVE FASHION NOUS'
Ladies knitwear such as scarves are the ideal way to accessorise a wardrobe and add a fashionable touch, it has been claimed.
Writing for the Guardian, Imogen Fox stated: "Right now, scarves are the one accessory that will give your look some fashion nous."
Spring scarves are a good choice when wanting to update a look into the next season but stay warm at the same time.
Various pattern options were highlighted by the publication, which contained light and dark colours to go with most outfits.
"Printed is better than plain," Ms Fox wrote.
Her comments follow advice from fashion director at Stylist magazine Lizanne Harris on the trends for spring/summer.
A take on military - the utility trend - will be key next season and is a softer version of the military look.
Tailoring is ideal for older people and a preppy sports trend will look good on middle-aged women, Ms Harris explained
