USHER: 'FASHION CAN BE A BEAUTIFUL SCARF'
R'n'B star Usher has revealed he enjoys wrapping up in woollen clothes just as much as donning a designer suit.
Scarves and jumpers are particular favourites of his, the singer claimed when speaking to the Associated Press.
"Fashion can be a beautiful scarf, soft cashmere sweater or cool boots," he claimed.
Usher, who was wearing a long blue cardigan for the interview, sang at a Christmas concert organised by President Obama earlier in December.
The President's tailor helped the star choose an outfit, which was a cashmere jacket and scarf with custom-made trousers.
"I wanted an edge but be appropriate and I wanted to be warm," the singer explained.
Well known for his three-piece suits and designer jackets, Usher says his style is "flashy classy" and that one of the most important elements of fashion is feeling good.
The successful singer has sold 30 million albums and won five Grammy awards, his website notes.
He has hinted that he may launch a clothing line in the future, but now is not the right time, he told the newswire.
