WOOL KNITWEAR ON DISPLAY AT STUDENT FASHION SHOW
Wool knitwear will be the focus of a fashion show held this evening (June 25th) in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
Students from the College of West Anglia have produced various items of men's and ladies' knitwear, which include customised clothing from donations made by the Barnado's charity.
"We are very proud of our excellent reputation in the world of fashion and textiles and the shows are a fantastic opportunity to impress everyone," lecturer Michelle James was quoted by the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press as saying.
Inspiration behind some of the creations comes from 1950s fashions, although a wide range of designs have been used to put the collection together, the newspaper reveals.
Models dressed in the wool knitwear will take to the catwalk this evening and Ms James states a number of the students plan to work in the fashion industry once they leave the college.
The establishment, which has campuses in Wisbech, Cambridge, Isle and King's Lynn, offers courses in fashion and clothing as well as textile design.
