WORLD CUP AND WARM WEATHER 'HAS BOOSTED ONLINE SHOPPING'
The World Cup combined with the warm weather has led to a rise in online shopping, says Richard Dodd, head of media and campaigns at the British Retail Consortium.
He explains there have been a number of deals available on the internet and promotions surrounding the World Cup.
The UK has also recently experienced warmer weather, resulting in an increase in online sales of outdoor clothing and footwear.
Mr Dodd added: "Online retailing represents six per cent of all retailing."
This has resulted in many businesses developing the service they offer on the web and ensuring customers can easily access their products, he continued.
Shoppers hoping to purchase goods such as outdoor and country clothing via the internet could take a look at the Celtic Sheepskin website.
The site features a range of products and information about many items that are made in Great Britain and reveals the company's sustainability and environmental initiatives.
