LADIES SLIPPERS MAY HELP RELAXING BEDTIME ROUTINE
Those wishing to relax in the evenings could invest in a pair of ladies slippers and other comforting clothes.
Winding down and sleeping well may become a greater priority for some, after research from the George Institute for Global Health revealed just how important slumber is.
It noted healthy young adults who get less than five hours sleep each night are three times more likely to develop mental ill health than their peers who get between eight and nine hours of shut-eye.
De-stressing with a soothing bath and wearing comfortable clothes such as pyjamas and ladies slippers may be one way for women to ensure it is easier to nod off.
Jessica Alexander, spokeswoman for The Sleep Council, explains it is a growing problem overall that people just cannot seem to switch off at night.
"The problem is definitely exacerbated in the modern day world of technology and the internet," she says, adding teenagers are particularly prone to such distractions.
