PREPARE FOR WINTER WITH MENS AND LADIES SLIPPERS
Individuals are being advised to purchase mens and ladies slippers in preparation for another cold winter.
Steve Batie from JournalStar.com reminded readers of the snow faced by the majority of people last winter and warned now is the ideal time to plan ahead.
"You may love your hardwood or tiled floors, but cotton and wool are warmer under bare feet. Buy some … rugs and slippers," he suggested.
And even though winter is not yet here, the writer said there is a "telltale nip in the air" showing it is just around the corner.
Other steps that homeowners should take include insulating their property to get rid of draughts and investing in thick curtains to trap in the warmth.
The advantage of wearing slippers indoors is that flooring is kept clean and free from outside dirt.
A recent article in the Daily Mail suggested high heels can also do a certain amount of damage to wooden floors if they are worn inside the home.
