WEARING LADIES SLIPPERS 'COULD CUT FUEL BILL COSTS'
Donning a pair of ladies slippers and wearing other items of warm clothing may save people money over the months ahead.
That's according to Uweekly.com, which says this could mean householders are less likely to boost their central heating.
"Lounging around the house in shorts and a T-shirt while it snows outside may be desirable, but it can get expensive," it states.
Instead, adding an extra blanket to a bed, wearing a pair of mens or ladies slippers and putting on other garments designed to add warmth is a wiser move.
People who live in older properties may particularly benefit from these actions, as the news source explains they can be draughty and costly to heat.
The Met Office predicts much of the UK is set to turn even colder on Saturday (November 13th), so many people might consider wrapping up in their cosiest clothing and footwear instead of turning up their central heating.
