'WHY UGG STYLE BOOTS ARE POPULAR'
Ugg style boots are popular all year round and this is due to many reasons, one commentator said this week.
The University Daily Kansan's Esposito column asked some local fans of the sheepskin footwear why they were always in fashion come rain or shine.
Erin Meyer is a student on the campus and owns two pairs. She explained: "They're so comfortable and so warm … they're tough, so I can wear them in all kinds of weather."
Of course, Ugg style boots are regularly seen on the feet of celebrities across the globe - and trends adopted by famous faces usually last much longer on the high street.
Look magazine recently printed snaps of Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively wearing beige pairs, having swapped them for high heels during filming for the series.
The publication said the duo were "girls after our own hearts" as they ditched skyscraper stilettos and platforms for the toasty warm sheepskin boots.
