CASHMERE INDUSTRY 'TO BE DISCUSSED AT CASHMERE WORLD TRADE FAIR'
Those who purchase ladies cashmere jumpers could be keen to find out more about the luxurious materials used to create the garments.
Such matters may be discussed at the Cashmere World trade fair, scheduled for November 23rd-25th in Beijing.
One of the key talking points will be the sustainability of the industry and how it can grow in the future.
Organisers have also planned the Cashmere Quality Forum and Sustainability Conference to coincide with the forthcoming event.
The China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Products and Animal By-Products (CFNA) reveals these programmes are included in an initiative aimed at protecting the cashmere business.
And the CFNA has the responsibility of setting the standards of the Chinese cashmere industry, as the country has control of more than 95 per cent of the world's supply of pure cashmere.
Organisers of the November event explain it is the third time representatives of the sector will meet for the Cashmere World conference.
Cashmere garments, fashion accessories, fabric and design are just some of the products created by professionals due to attend the trade fair.
