CHERYL COLE WRAPS UP IN CHUNKY KNITTED SCARF
Fashion-forward Cheryl Cole was seen wrapped up in a chunky-knit woollen scarf last week, according to the London Evening Standard.
Cole's "superscarf" was a striped pattern of grey, black and cream.
Covering the singer's entire neck and some of her face, the scarf was worn with a shiny grey winter coat.
The newspaper named fashion designed Giles Deacon as the reason behind so many stars sporting the "superscarf".
But it has been known for a long time that scarves are the perfect way to finish off an outfit.
According to Content Coral, scarves can be traced back to the Romans, who developed them from a practical item used to keep clean into a fashion piece worn around the waist or neck.
Cole certainly looked pleased with her knitted scarf as she was seen smiling between the folds of the chunky accessory.
The London Evening Standard claimed that a thick woollen scarf like Cole's will fit in to handbags and can be worn to cover everything above the waist.
