Ethical clothing fans planning their autumn wardrobes should invest in earthy shades, an expert asserts.
Dr Debra Luftman, writing for empowher.com, claims that cooler and darker days present the ideal opportunity to dress in autumn colours of this type.
She says that people often choose the duller earthy shades, but there are other options that can be more vibrant while still suiting the season.
"[Try] pumpkin, olive, gold, russet and so on. You'll attract attention and might even start a fashion," she advises.
Dr Luftman adds: "Use the cooler, darker days as an excuse to wear things that are more formal and tailored and flatter your figure."
She says the cooler months could also be the perfect excuse for women to grow their hair longer, as now "is the time to show it off".
Last month, industry guru Vikram Kuamr claimed that deep and earthy colours are among the key trends for this autumn.
