She is known for her glamorous outfits and love of dressing up so it is no surprise that Katy Perry has been spotted out and about in the latest ladies' knitwear trend.
The I Kissed A Girl singer was wearing a short knitted dress for a friend's birthday meal in Los Angeles.
Katy, aged 25, teamed the multi-coloured ladies' knitwear with thigh-high black suede boots and a gold shiny bag.
She had gone for a natural look and was without her usual stage make up of glittery eye shadows and bright lipsticks.
Her look is, according to Vogue, the latest style trend.
The fashion magazine has advised women to team long baggy knitted jumpers or short dresses with boots and leggings.
Katy, who is dating the British comedian Russell Brand, hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin a couple of weeks ago and stunned audiences by appearing in a customised West Ham lingerie set.
