KNITWEAR FEATURES AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
Knitwear looks set to be a key trend of autumn and winter this year.
Designers at New York Fashion Week have been featuring woollen items in their collections.
Michael Kors is just one of the designers who has dressed his models in knitwear.
His collection is said to be a combination of sport and glamour, with clothing such as cashmere bodysuits being cited as a key trend.
The outfits all stuck to a "rich-girl palette", the fashion writer for the Telegraph explained.
Camel, loden-green and grey were the staple shades and were highlighted by adding in flashes of metallics.
Large coats were seen "shrugged" over slim dresses and slouchy boots finished off the look.
Other designers will continue to exhibit their collections, with London Fashion Week due to start tomorrow.
It was recently announced that there will be the first ever digital schedule at the UK event, with live streaming of shows and films being available via the internet.
