KNITWEAR IS VOGUE THIS SEASON
Ladies' knitwear is in fashion and the latest trend for winter, according to Vogue magazine.
The fashion publication has said that lots of layers is the "look of the season" and women should aim for a cosy and pretty effect.
A number of celebrities have been spotted in knitwear in recent weeks including the singer Sting, Eastenders' actors Samantha Womack and Scott Maslen, and the Hollywood star Katie Holmes.
Ms Womack, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC one soap, was pictured wearing Ugg style boots with an oversized knitted jumper and tight dark jeans.
According to Vogue, this season's fashions include knitted jumpers teamed with mini skirts and legwarmers over leggings.
Long knitted dress-jumpers worn with leggings and sheepskin footwear is also a good look.
Vogue has said that the knit is seen as a "status piece" and also suggested teaming long cardigans with other knitwear items and accessorising with scarves and hats.
