KNITWEAR MAY HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN AUTUMN VINTAGE LOOK
A ladies jumper may be the ideal piece of clothing for a vintage outfit, following suggestions from one expert.
Speaking on Stv show The Hour, style guru Lynne McCrossan explained the 50s look is set to become extremely popular over the next couple of months.
"It's probably the sexiest decade you can think of," she said, before adding: "It's all about the hourglass figure and synching in the waist. It's about accentuating the positives and hiding the nasty bits."
Ms McCrossan noted a recent vintage festival served as inspiration for her ideas on the programme.
And the fashion specialist picked out a number of garments to make up her example of how to achieve a 50s daytime ensemble, including a white ladies jumper, tight black jeans and a pair of pink heels.
This follows comments from television presenter Cat Deeley, who told Bang Showbiz she loves nothing more than shopping for retro items on the British high street.
