LADIES SLIPPERS MAY HELP COMBAT JET LAG
Wearing ladies slippers and cosy outfits during long flights may be one way for women to combat jet lag.
The Daily Mail recently offered advice from expert and author Farrol Kahn for those heading abroad and said comfortable clothes and sleep eye-masks often help people to rest on planes.
Mr Khan explained travelling across a number of time zones can cause the internal body clock to be knocked out of sync, which can consequently result in symptoms such as nausea, anxiety and fatigue.
Resting during the flight is one way to tackle this problem and sleep can help travellers feel fresher when they arrive at their destination in the morning, he added.
As well as relaxing, people should try not to eat too much during their journey and ensure they consume plenty of fluids, with carrot juice particularly appropriate, the expert noted.
Those flying to particularly cold destinations - such as ski resorts - may find their ladies slippers are also useful once they arrive, as the Daily Telegraph recently suggested the comfortable footwear is a welcome addition in hotels.
