LAYER LADIES' KNITWEAR, SAYS FASHION EXPERT
Knitwear should be worn in lots of layers, according to one fashion expert.
Jess Cartner-Morley, writing for the Guardian, said ladies' knitwear was nothing new but this season it is all about wearing lots of layers.
She added that rather than wearing bulky items that might lead people to ask whether your heating was broken, it was best to stick to fine knits.
"The point is to look luxurious, not practical: in a jumper you look warm; in a triset, you look cosy," Ms Cartner-Morley remarked.
A triset is a combination of thin knits, for example a fine knit vest with a light cardigan covering, topped by a chunky knitted jacket or coatigan.
By layering thin knitted items people can pull off the stylish look, while also staying warm and cosy.
Ms Cartner-Morley's tips echo those from Vogue magazine last month, which stated that one of this season's hottest trends was knitwear - and lots of it.
